This joint effort between NE LTAP, NIRMA and NDOR aims to aid local public agencies in getting sign engineering studies to install new regulatory and warning signs.
Flaggers serve as the first human contact the traveling public have with a work zone. This on-demand course covers the professionalism, equipment, procedures and safety considerations for flagging. Contact Megan Patent-Nygren for more information.
The NDOR Online Flagger Certification course offers the chance to learn or refresh flagging skills and gain certification. The course is open to local, state and private entities.
Basic and Advanced Temporary Traffic Control courses prepare workers for planning, installing, working in, maintaining and removing temporary traffic control situations.
Topics vary and can be catered to the needs of the individual requestor. These classes are available on demand.
In pilot phase now! Look for announcements from NE LTAP when sign-up opens statewide. Some municipalities will be eligible for funding to replace deficient signs under this program.
Traffic Incident Management is an FHWA initiative to train first responders and transportation workers in best practices for responding to a traffic incident on roadways.
